Abigail Leinsdorf Garber
Attorney Investigator

Abigail joined Investigations Law Group in 2023.  With nearly seven years of litigation experience split between defense and plaintiffs’ side work, she has a sharp eye for evaluating witness credibility.  She has interviewed countless witnesses throughout her career and, having questioned many on the witness stand in court, understands what makes a reliable witness account resonate with a jury.

Abigail began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Todd. E. Edelman of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.  There, she saw first-hand the way an investigation, whether thorough or incomplete, could change the outcome of a jury trial.  Following her clerkship, Abigail spent four years as a public defender in the Atlanta-metro area, representing indigent clients charged with committing felonies and misdemeanors.  Throughout her time as a public defender, Abigail continued to hone her investigation skills to advise clients about their chances of success at trial.  She won several jury trials for her clients, usually as a result of her thorough investigation.  Abigail then returned to her home state of Colorado.  For two and a half years, she litigated employment and civil rights cases, gaining substantive knowledge of employment law from the perspective of litigants asserting their constitutional and statutory rights under federal and Colorado law.

Abigail was born and raised in Crested Butte, Colorado.  Following high school, Abigail left her hometown to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she graduated with high honors in Anthropology and Spanish.  Abigail earned her J.D. from Northwestern Law in Chicago and, upon graduating, was granted the 2015 Legal Profession Award for her work representing young people in Northwestern’s Bluhm Legal Clinic.
