ILG’s two Senior Partners, Anne R. McCord and Elizabeth R. Anne received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder and holds a SPHR Certification. She is an AWI-Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and holds a Colorado PI license. Anne has 25+ years of Executive-level Human Resources experience in the high tech, start up and non-profit worlds, and specializes in strategic HR and complex workplace investigations.
Anne serves as one of the Firm’s two Lead Investigators, specializing in high profile and high litigation risk matters. Her investigations experience has included Sexual Harassment, discrimination based on protected class, hostile work environment, ethics violations, theft and misconduct.
Anne also heads up the Firm’s Strategic Response Team, which works with Boards of Directors and Executive Leadership to develop, monitor and correct human resources systems and best practices to achieve workplace compliance. The breadth of Anne’s experience brings a unique opportunity to clients for whom she services as an Expert Witness as she has a deep grasp of both the legal and practical implications of decisions that are made in investigations, and their impact on the efficacy of the work.

Liz received her Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law, cum laude, in 1992. She is licensed to practice in the states of Colorado and Massachusetts. She has specialized in workplace investigations since 1994, with an emphasis on conducting prompt thorough and impartial investigations into workplace misconduct for clients across the United States. Liz’s investigation practices focus on matters with high media exposure and litigation risk, and she has conducted her work for public agencies, publicly held companies, small municipalities and every sized organization in between. Liz founded ILG as the first workplace investigations firm in the region and has the most workplace investigations experience of any investigator in the Intermountain West.
Liz writes about and teaches the practice of proper workplace investigations and has presented this material for a variety of audiences, including federal legislators, Fortune 100 company HR personnel, municipalities, and private clients over the years. Liz has conducted more than 1000 workplace investigations in her 29-year career as a professional workplace investigator.
Liz was a Director on the Board of Directors of the Association of Workplace Investigators (“AWI”), the premier professional organization in this field, for six years. She has been active in the organization for a decade, bringing the founding chapter of AWI to Colorado and teaching and writing course material for a decade. Liz wrote the definitive chapter on Workplace Investigations for Colorado Practitioners, published in January 2018.
