Sally brings a variety of experience from the private and public sector to her ILG clients. Her deep background in education, as well as her litigation background, has provided her with the analytical and writing skills to excel in Title IX and workplace investigations.

Sally started her career as a pro bono law clerk for the Honorable Christine M. Arguello in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Following this, she worked in private practice where she represented licensed health care professionals in litigation and administrative matters involving licensing and privileges.  Sally began her career in education law as an Assistant Attorney General in the K-12 Education Unit for the State of Colorado.  She represented Colorado state education agencies in complex civil litigation as well as in state administrative proceedings concerning educator licenses. Sally’s efforts in the courtroom now require licensed teachers to report incidents of child abuse and neglect irrespective of the circumstances in which the teacher learns of or suspects child abuse and neglect.

Sally has brought her litigation and education law experience to her position as Attorney Investigator at ILG.  Sally specializes in Title IX investigations and is ILG’s Title IX and Education Investigations Practice Lead.  Sally’s practice includes investigations for K-12 and higher education clients. Her Title IX investigations frequently involve personal, sensitive topics that demand an impartial, inquisitive mind to investigate. Sally also serves as a Hearing Officer in Title IX hearings. While Sally’s practice focuses on Title IX investigations, she also serves clients in the private and public sectors in conducting workplace investigations.  Her workplace practice has involved claims of discrimination, hostile work environment, harassment, retaliation, and other policy violations.

Sally feels fortunate to be in a position that serves higher education institutions, K-12 schools, corporations, non-profit organizations, and other businesses. Sally is a co-convenor of the Denver area section of the Association of Workplace Investigators, North America’s premier workplace investigator association.  Sally also serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, where she has held several positions over six years. Sally graduated cum laude from Boston College with a double major in secondary education and history as well as a minor in special education. She received her Master of Education in Moderate Special Needs Grades 5-12 from Boston College. Sally received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
