Claire Sweetman – Analyst

News

ILG is thrilled to highlight Analyst, Claire Sweetman who joined the firm in February of 2022.  Claire attended Tulane University in New Orleans for her bachelor’s degree. She double-majored in English and Political Science while at Tulane. She went to the University of Denver for law school. She is particularly proud of Tulane at the moment as the football team won its conference championship last week and is playing in the Cotton Bowl in January! “Roll wave!”

Prior to  joining ILG, Claire worked at a law firm in Denver specializing in plaintiff’s employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims.

Claire grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and went to college in New Orleans before moving to Denver for law school and to be close to family.

We asked Claire a few questions about herself:

  • What do you love to do in your free time?
    • I love trying new Denver restaurants, going for walks in Sloan’s Lake, and skiing.
  • Any causes you are passionate about?
    • I am passionate about protecting individuals’ rights to earn a living as well as bodily autonomy.
  • What are some facts that people don’t know about you?
    • I lived in Madrid, Spain for seven months in college and was directly enrolled in a Spanish university. My Spanish has since gotten rusty, but my love for tapas and good public transportation has never faded.
  • Want to share any family info?
    • My great-grandfather played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Athletics. His nickname was “Hook” because he was lefthanded. Although I never knew him, my grandfather would tell me stories about watching him play during the same era as Babe Ruth.
    • His Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Todt
  • Anything else that is fun to share about Claire??
    • I love pop culture! I attribute some of my research and investigation skills to digging for scoop about my favorite celebrities as a child.
