Colorado legislators pull an all-nighter in the waning days of the session

The 2019 Colorado Legislative session, which ends on Friday, has been fraught with tensions that culminated Monday night when the Senate Majority Leader invoked a rarely-used procedural rule to limit debate on items.  This move that provoked an outcry from the Republican side of the aisle.  Lawmakers worked through the night, and some were spotted asleep at their desks, while one legislator’s wife texted him to ask if he was still alive.  Read more here and here.
