However, she is also a trained mediator, Title IX Investigator, Advisor, and Hearing Officer. She has a wealth of experience in Employment Law and diversity issues. She is a great asset to our team!

Katrina is originally from Memphis, TN. She graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and a special certificate focused on Labor and Employment Law. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Memphis, majoring in Marketing Management.

We asked Katina few questions about herself:

  • What I do for fun?

The goal is to destress! When I’m not getting in as much sleep as possible lol, I also enjoy gardening. I find it quite therapeutic. My current garden includes tomatoes, eggplant, blueberries, lettuce, strawberries and a wide array of herbs and spices.

I also am a collector. I like to collect postcards whenever we have a new adventure. I started that collection as a kid, and I never stopped.  I have over 300 in my collection, and I can’t wait to add more. I also collect frogs—statues not amphibians. It is the symbol for my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. My friends and family will send me one whenever they find a unique frog.

  • What are you passionate about?

“If you bungle raising your children, I don’t think whatever else you do matters very much.” ~ Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis

My kids. I am an attorney and an Investigator but my most important job is—mom! As the mother of a sixteen- and fourteen-year-old, It is important to me that I raise kind, hardworking, and well-rounded people and I think I am succeeding! I’m very proud of them.

  • Future Plans?

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~ Saint Augustine

I am truly open to experiencing new places including culture, food, and customs. I have three main travel goals. First, I want to travel alone on an extended train trip across the country. I want to see the countryside and architecture change as I look out the window. Second, I would like to take my children to Japan. They both study Japanese language and culture. I would love to experience Japan through their eyes. Third, I love ancient pyramids! I want to travel the world to visit pyramid sites and learn about more early civilizations. New adventures are good for the soul!
